Question

If the average of three distinct positive integers is 22, what is the largest possible value of these three integers?
A. 64
B. 63
C. 33
D. 42
E. 48

I get 19 as the answer. None of the choices are right.

The question says that the average of 3 numbers is 22. So, the sum of the three numbers is 22 * 3 = 66.

The smallest value a positive integer can take is 1 and the next value is 2. So, the largest value that one of the 3 integers can take is 66 - 1- 2 = 63.
